Privacy Policy

Overview

Pocket GM (“the app”) is an independent companion client for fantasy football leagues hosted on MyFantasyLeague.com (“MFL”). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by MFL, the NFL, or the NFLPA. The app exists to let you view and manage your own MFL league from your phone. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

Information we handle

  • Your MFL sign-in. When you sign in, your MFL username and password are sent to MFL to authenticate you. Your password is used only for that request and is not stored by Pocket GM.
  • Your MFL session. After you sign in, MFL returns a session token. We store that token on our server so the app can make league requests on your behalf (view rosters, submit a lineup, post to league chat, etc.). It is tied to your account and is removed when you sign out or when it expires.
  • League data. The app reads league information from MFL — rosters, standings, transactions, scores, chat, and similar — and caches it on our server to make the app fast. This is your league’s data as provided by MFL.
  • On-device token. The mobile app stores a login token on your device’s secure storage so you stay signed in. Removing it (by signing out) ends the session.

Analytics

We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how Pocket GM is used — pages and screens viewed, taps, and key actions such as signing in — so we can fix rough edges and improve the app. Once you sign in, these usage events are associated with your MFL username. PostHog processes this data on our behalf; it is not used for advertising, and we do not use advertising identifiers.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
  • We do not sell or rent your data, or share it with third parties except service providers (such as our analytics, hosting, and database providers) who process it on our behalf to operate the app.
  • We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos.

Where your data goes

Requests you make in the app are sent to MyFantasyLeague.com, which has its own privacy practices (see myfantasyleague.com). Server-side data (your session token and cached league data) is stored with our hosting and database providers, and product-usage events are sent to our analytics provider (PostHog), solely to operate and improve the app.

Data retention & deletion

Your MFL session token is retained only while your session is active; signing out removes it. Cached league data is public league content that refreshes over time. To request deletion of any data associated with your account, email us at the address below.

Children

Pocket GM is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
